Bellator 172 is Saturday in San Jose, the spiritual home of Bellator MMA
Fight is on February 18, 2017.
At Pro Fighter, Lennard Leonardo’s Art of Boxing Gym in Santa Clara, I got to talk to Matt “the Machine” Ramirez about Bellator MMA, his pro boxing future and a bit about being a star in the sport.
I got to see his coach taping him up, getting ready for training
Ramirez is a resilient up and comer and was 8-0 as an ameatur fighter. He took on tough amateur fighters early on, knowing he was ready for a challenge.
Part of his training includes STAYING BUSY and competing. He will be taking pro boxing fights with Lennard – a pro and stalwart of the San Mateo, EPA, RWC, and San Jose Boxing tradition – in his corner.
When commenting on being a star in the future of the Bellator MMA flyweight division (which doesn’t has a champ yet), Ramirez comments not having to be an asshole to be a star.
Watch out for this fighter, the future of the Bellator MMA flyweight will have a new king.
